Solar Eclipse

The total solar eclipse is due to arrive on Friday morning, with peak viewing time being around 9.35am. The UK will have a front-row seat – providing there’s no cloud cover – to witness this rare phenomenon.

However, staring directly at the eclipse with the naked eye can ruin your eyesight by damaging your retinas.

We will be watching the eclipse in Pearl Class. Fingers crossed we get a clear day.

Your homework this week is to write a story about Luke’s Grandma.
Luke’s Grandma lost her thumb, when she was a little girl. She had an encounter with a witch. Use your imagination and write what happened to her thumb. Where did she meet this witch? What happened when she did? What did the witch look like? What did grandma look like when she was a little girl?
